Keepmoat Regeneration’s response to the Autumn Statement

Dave Sheridan, CEO of Keepmoat Regeneration, said: “As part of the Chancellor’s investment into housing delivery, we welcome the commitment given to allow local authorities within high demand areas to borrow more to invest in building new homes as part of a £3.7bn package for local authorities to increase supply, including an additional £400m to support estate regeneration. Only by encouraging councils to commission and build new homes, in partnership with the private sector, can we ever hope to deliver the new homes we need. It was also great to see construction noted as a priority workforce that will benefit from a new government partnership aimed at boosting skills; without this additional investment in people, the delivery of 300,000 new homes per year is unachievable.”
